Pachyman

Pachyman is the moniker used by singer-songwriter, drummer, multi-instrumentalist Pachy García in his solo project where he focuses exclusively on old school dub music. He lovingly recreates the sound with all its quirky elements, including its thick layer of reverb, the springy bursts, the cheesy keyboards, the unmistakable bass walk, all of it. And he plays all the instruments himself. García is originally from Puerto Rico and grew up loving the work of dub pioneers like King Tubby and his Pachyman project does not hold anything back. His grooves are solid, and he is completely in the right mindset for this kind of music. Note that his work is all instrumental, which pretty much comes with the dub territory.
