Mobley

Mobley (or Anthony Watkins II) is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who creates robust indie rock pieces that also have strong indie pop tendencies. He has a keen sense of melody in his songs and confident arrangements that elevate them to highly effective pieces of music at the rock/pop interface. His music is highly polished and follows a clear sense of direction.  Lyrically, he is very much tuned in to the racial and political realities in the US. Mobley has made quite a name for himself as a one-man band based on how he travels as a self-sufficient artist who handles all his instruments himself on stage. His first album, Fresh Lies, Vol. 1 (2018), had some flashes of R&B showing up especially in the instrumentation.
