midwxst (born Edgar Sarratt III) has been one of the major artists emerging from the digicore scene in the early '20s, injecting hyperpop into hip-hop, or maybe the other way around. His music often sounds like what one would get by taking all the stylistic trends in pop music that happened in the last two decades, including emo, trap, trance, and pop punk, put them in a blender and created a smoothie out of them. It is highly melodic in nature ... at least until he took a relatively sharp turn towards a more mainstream form of hip hop with some deep bass. His delivery is often fairly autotuned and the levels of distortion are typically cranked up. His vocal style is fairly fluid as he freely shifts from singing to rapping and back any time.
