Loshh

Loshh Aje, who goes by his first name, is a London based artist of Nigerian origin born in the Netherlands. He draws a great deal of inspiration from African traditions, Afrobeat, jazz, soul, funk, and whatever else one comes across in life, including classical in his music, which he often constructs like a collage-in-progress with all the pieces competing to find their slot in real time. He integrates spoken word poetry into his music as he almost casually drifts in and out of various dreamy states of music, whether it is old school '70s funky soul or a fragment of a classical music piece caught in a loop. The rhythms are dynamic, shifting between African, Latin, and reggae beats, and his arrangements are rich and lush.
