Landless
Outline
Landless is an a capella group of four singers who focus primarily on traditional Irish folk songs, though not strictly. They are sometimes accompanied by some instrument that typically shows up in a subdued fashion, whether it is s a pipe organ or some gentle brass that stays in the background or handles a quiet transition. The songs tend to be elegiac in nature and move at a fairly slowed down pace, which gives the listeners an opportunity to appreciate the textures their voices weave. Between the stripped down production and the cavernous effect created in the recordings, their music cones loaded with an otherworldly feel.
