Kim Petras

Kim Petras is a dance pop singer originally from Cologne, Germany, but working from Los Angeles. Her music is a kind of conventional pop that unabashedly expects to be played on the top 40 radio around the world and in the nightclubs and beach parties with beats that vary to some degree between aggressive dance floor beats and mid-tempo grooves. Her voice does most of the work on the songs built on familiar mega-pop type melodies with a lot of production going into them, frequently leading to big choruses that she sings on a high register. She does not stray too far from this basic formula, except on occasion where there is a bit of R&B that surfaces when she drops to a lower gear.
