Jessie Murph's carefully crafted and confidently delivered music is anchored primarily in the neo soul sound, with plenty of R&B inspired contemporary pop in the mix as well. She is a powerful singer who carries herself with the kind of swagger Amy Winehouse was known for, plus she also has a similar nasal resonance in her voice. Her lyrics tend to be quite direct, and can get fairly explicit at times. She is also fond of switching things up and moving into a rap cadence occasionally.
