Jehnny Beth (born Camille Berthomier) is perhaps best known as the mercurial singer of the London-based post-punk band, Savages.  In her solo career, she goes beyond the confines of her the particular post-punk flavors she explored in her previous bands, including John & Jehn, and gravitates towards a more idiosyncratic and experimental music that is not fully tethered to any particular genre. She plays around with trip-hop vibes, industrial sound, and even ballads, as she attacks each song with her usual raw passion.  The 2021 album she recorded with Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie is a series of duets, where she takes a more conventional route, drawing more melody out of her singing than she had in the past.

Savages, John & Jehn, Nadine Shah, PJ Harvey, Anna Calvi

She is one of the founding members of Savages.

She formed John & Jehn with Johnny Hostile between '07 and '10.  The duo later got back together to record the soundtrack for Xy Chelsea.

She recorded a studio album with Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie.
