Singer-songwriter Gerry Cinnamon (born Gerard Crosbie) is pretty much a modern day troubadour with sincerity that cuts right through all the clutter of pop tropes. He often works in the classic format of an acoustic guitar that accompanies his lightly raspy voice. He is a remarkable songwriter that follows in the footsteps of artists like Billy Bragg and even a young Bob Dylan to an extent, certainly not in style, but in spirit and mindset. His songwriting is pure in that it does not rely on any gimmicks, and stays true to his melodies and hooks. He also does not shy away from shifting into an indie rock/folk mode with some regularity and plays with a full band. His songs tend to stay with the audience and resonate, which has helped him build a loyal fan base in a relatively short time.
