Faye Webster

Faye Webster is an indie folk artist from Atlanta who delivers her low-key and mid-tempo songs with a calm and quiet voice and a slightly melancholic demeanor.  She uses a pedal steel guitar with some regularity in her arrangements, which gives her music a country tinge, as well as a blues flavored electric piano that makes an occasional appearance. Her songs tend to be mostly mellow ballads with light-hearted '70s soft pop references. They are just melodic enough to be effective without overwhelming her sentimental undertone. Her music does not have a polished or over-produced feel, which adds more charm to its "work-in-progress" vibes. She took a fascinating turn to quieter songs with orchestral arrangements in her 2022 EP Car Therapy Sessions.
