EXOTIC FRUITICA

Austin based band EXOTIC FRUITICA takes a noisy and aggressive path on the post-hardcore field, also leaning hard into a solid wall of distortion effect that is more or less in the IDLES mold with its post-punk overtones and a powerful sound. The core of the band is the vocalist/guitarist and drummer pair Jon French and Aaron Gilligan, who set the tone loud and clear with their attack, backed by a sturdy pulse. They often play at a high volume and in a frantic pace, delivered with a sense of urgency and earnestness. More importantly, perhaps, they also bring compelling melodies and stand out hooks to the table to offer much more to their audiences than their burst of raw energy.
