Dirty Heads

Dirty Heads are a band from Huntington Beach, California that freely floats between laid-back ska, beach reggae, chill rap, and sweet indie pop.  They are very clearly influenced a great deal by the '90s band, Sublime, from Long Beach (a hop, skip, and a jump away from HB), but without the angst and pent-up anger that was their signature. Dirty Heads has built a sound from similar ingredients, but they are clearly a much mellower band that really wants you to enjoy life. Not to be lost in all these good vibes is the fact that this band writes good songs with catchy melodies, and are able to avoid monotony by frequently switching up between styles.
