Catbite

Catbite is a Philadelphia based band that takes their inspiration from the bands that were associated with the third wave ska, which pushed the genre forward into the pop realm in the '90s. They cover a broad stylistic range in the genre with an emphasis on hooks and an uplifting pop feel. The extra touch they add is the way they mix it with some of the vintage rock'n roll and surf rock elements. They also take a step back from their steady upbeat at times, and extend into the laid back, chill reggae sound. The band plays with all the enthusiasm and pure energy that ska requires. They are led by vocalist Britney Luna, who provides the band with extra muscle wrapped in charm and charisma.
