The Grey Eagle

In a city known for its music scene, The Grey Eagle is an institution. With a capacity about half that of The Orange Peel, but covering mainly the same range of genres, it tends to host either national acts with narrower appeal or popular regional artists. The Eagle is also more likely to host Bluegrass or Jazz artists than other local venues. It is a charming place, with lots of character and a taqueria with seating on the premises. It also has a rather large outdoor courtyard/patio area that is a perfect place to eat your tacos, get some fresh air or have a smoke. More informal, intimate performances are also performed on the patio. Most performances in the music hall are largely standing room only, with a few chairs along the walls, but many performances offer VIP tickets that include seating in a roped off area at the back of the dancefloor. The large bar is, unfortunately, staffed by a single bartender. Almost all performances are all ages.
