The Queendom

The Queendom is a collaboration between Atlanta based hip-hop artists AUDIADASOUND (aka Christina Adedeji) and Rocket Rhonnie (aka Amanda Donald). Their music combines trap beats, hip-hop, and R&B crooning with sparse arrangements and a crisp production where Rhonnie gets to show her moves as an audio engineer. They often play at the lower tempos with a strong bass bottom and relaxed instrumentation that contrasts to some extent with the intensity in their delivery. They can get quite intricate in the way they layer their vocals with multiple melodic motifs and overlap their rap lines. Given the consistency of their music together, it appears that the two leads have found a kindred spirit in one another.
