The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die is a catchy name for a band that emerged in the '10s as one of the standout acts in the emo revival wave, incorporating bits of post-rock atmospherics to their largely alternative rock instincts and post-hardcore roots. In doing so, they always tended to stray somewhat from the core emo sound, serving their songs with layers and shades that go through peaks and valleys. The band went through a stylistic shift in the '20s, reaching more overtly into a prog inspired metal bag of tricks, especially in their 2026 album Dreams of Being Dust, which took them deeper into that sound. They have been creating a more aggressive, more immediate and explosive type of music today than what they started out with.
