Saint Levant

Saint Levant is Marwan Abdelhamid, a multilingual hip-hop artist who raps and sings in English, French, and Arabic. He was born in Gaza, grew up in Palestinian refugee camps, and currently works out of Los Angeles. His music is an amalgamation of traditional middle eastern and western music, especially R&B. He is a versatile artist who is not quite locked into any specific genre, as he regularly switches up musical modes and languages, and remains stylistically fluid. He is also very good at writing hooks and tapping into a fluid melodic core in his songs, moving between eastern and western traditions. His songs often focus on the plight of the Palestinian people, naturally, but also regularly deal with romantic connections and his sense of isolation.
