The Raveonettes

The Raveonettes are a Danish guitar duo with a throwback style that reaches back to the classic garage rock of the '60s, complete with classic harmonies and elements of surf rock and noise rock moving in and out of their music. They have had a fairly consistent sound across their career, spanning more than two decades at this point. Their initial pair of albums came with self-inflicted formal restrictions regarding the length of the songs and the key they would be in. That experiment was on their rearview mirror soon afterward, as the duo expanded into a broader rock landscape that occasionally finds them exploring calmer and dreamier textures.
