Mr. Lewis and the Funeral 5

Mr. Lewis and the Funeral 5 are a six-piece band led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Greg Lewis. The band produces music that is a memorable blend of Dresden Dolls' dark cabaret meets the circus from your nightmares meets gothic blues of Tom Waits meets a New Orleans style funeral procession in some combination, but without the doom and gloom. The band renders all this in the kind of macabre fun befitting a Denny Elfman/Tim Burton production. The band went through some personnel changes in '18 and had some of its  rough edges smoothed out a bit, but their so-called "Macarabet" style is still prominent, though perhaps not quite in the throes of the Dark Cabaret of The Scarring Party.
