Morgan Wade

Singer-songwriter Morgan Wade generally sits at the halfway point between alt country and mainstream rock, playing with both the kick and the twang that makes her form of hybrid work. Her music has the classic country feel in its melodic and emotional core, which she sets against the harder tones in the instrumentation to give it a rock finish. To be fair, she may have leaned a little more on the countryside on her debut album, Reckless (2021). Her songs tend to have consistent pop undertones, even stepping into Taylor Swift territory at times (see "Fall In Love With Me"). Her voice is one of the more striking parts of her music. It is powerful, and she uses it well as a tool to amp up her sound. It also provides subtler shades when she takes it down a couple of notches.
