The Lemon Twigs

Listening to The Lemon Twigs is like stepping into a strange and delightful time warp. Multi-instrumentalist brothers D'Addario (Brian and Michael) play the kind of music that is firmly grounded in sound of The Beach Boys as well as the early British Invasion bands, up to and including the early years of glam, at times. So it is the early years of a lot of memorable bands, offering (impressions of) innocence, unselfconscious self-confidence, playfulness, and to be honest, some nostalgia along the way. The brothers are fully committed to the concept, putting out jangly rock and roll with a breezy feel, and topping it off with classic vocal harmonies. The songs are as much fun as they are evocative of a bygone era of pop awesomeness.
