    Outline

Jemma Freeman and the Cosmic Something is an indie rock band that also draws from parts of garage rock and glam. There is some sprawl to their music that creates a wide screen type effect, though without taking over their sound. They do give their songs a careful build up though.  It is a three piece band with the titular Jemma Freeman on the lead guitar and vocals, serving as the main creative engine for the band. She has obvious chops as a songwriter that allows her to navigate all that stylistic variety successfully and create an impressive string of songs in the process. She sings in a relatively low register with the kind of flair that fits well with glam.

Jemma Freeman's previous band was Landshapes.
