Jazmine Sullivan

Jazmine Sullivan is a singer-songwriter and an R&B artist who has been releasing music intermittently since the mid '00s. Sparse as her solo catalog may be, going back to her debut album in 2008, Fearless, it has been uniformly well-written, well-conceived, and well-produced. She has also been an active collaborator working with other big name artists from Mary J Blige to Robert Glasper, both as a performer and songwriter. Her music stretches in tone and texture, often bringing rhythmic and melodic elements from blues, soul, and Caribbean music as well. She is widely recognized as an outstanding singer with a good stylistic range, in addition to being a top-notch songwriter. Her 2021 album Heaux Tales, Mo' Tales: The Deluxe expands on Heaux Tales (also 2021) with additional songs and interview snippets.
