Holy Fawn

Holy Fawn is a band from Arizona that has an expansive sound covering a wide range between shoegaze and post-rock, building tense and dark soundscapes with loud and distorted wall-of-sound guitars, tribal drums, but can also break into a synth-driven calm and create serene ambient pieces interspersed across their albums. The shoegaze aspect of their music remains on the textural and atmospheric side.  Overall, their music evokes wide open cinematic landscapes in a brooding and contemplative tone and with repetitive melodies often building to a crescendo. The vocals are not at the forefront typically, they are generally muddled and merged into the mood.
