Griff is the stage name for singer-songwriter Sarah Griffiths whose bouncy songs use a lot of contemporary pop elements in terms of their composition, arrangements, and delivery. Her music has strong desktop production vibes with electronic percussion, synths, and modified voice effects (including auto-tune) that add texture. In terms of production, she has layered melodic lines that play well against her constructed beats, with a lot of attention paid to details. The core of her music is the strength of her melodies, a point that her 2021 break out song Black Hole drives home so well. She does not write only catchy, upbeat songs though. She also has a fair number of more subdued and introspective pieces, which she navigates equally well.
