Francobollo

Francobollo is an indie rock band, originally from Lund, Sweden that is currently working out of London. They play a brand of indie rock that treads the line between its conventional elements and an off-beat, creative left field approach and solid melodic hooks. Their earlier work was more in line with the '90s style alt-rock where they played melodic tunes with clarity, efficiency, and some swagger, to some extent, channeling bands like Silkworm and Pavement. They showed clear signs of switching up a bit on their 2021 EP, Good Buy, with a bolder sound with increased oddball bits that feel microdosed in psychedelia and with a palpable Peter Hamill style theatrical swings in tone. They currently appear to be digging deeper into that territory quite effectively.
