Dogleg is a post-hardcore band from Detroit that delivers energetic and rough rock music with a nod at the late '90s moshpit scene. They are loud and fast, and their sound is built on distorted guitars that manage to squeeze riffs though the wall to wall screech they simultaneously produce. The bass and drums can be found pounding away at a high BPM, while the singer Alex Stoitsiadis burns through the songs with the right amount of agitation balanced between punk screams and emo angst. Their songs have plenty of hooks and the band has the chops to keep the pace without losing their overall clarity or purpose.
