Andrew McMahon

Andrew McMahon, who currently works solo under the Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness moniker, is a pianist/singer/songwriter who writes big, melodic, stadium sing-along songs with upbeat, happy tones, meticulous production, and smooth delivery. He started out as part of more rock tinged pop outfit Something Corporate in the early '00s, then went solo as Jack's Mannequin in the latter part of the decade, leaning more towards the pop side of the mixture. His recent work pushes that trajectory further into pop with his catchy melodies and strong choruses. His songs mostly tell personal stories in a cool and relaxed atmosphere often without much tension in sight. There is plenty of warm ocean breeze in his music, which reliably turns out mid to high tempo pop songs that stick the landing.
