Tea Eater

Tea Eater is the project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Tara Thiessen of the Sharkmuffin and Gustaf pedigree, where she creates music that is alternately comes from a fun branch of punk and light-hearted post-punk. Stylistically, the band's sound is a combination of garage punk, surf rock, and girl group vocals, that is also spiced up with an occasional sprinkling of grunge, though they keep it consistently upbeat, and catchy.  A playful attitude that exudes irreverence and charm has always been Thiessen's calling card, which is in ample supply in this outfit as well. It is paired with plenty of humor, and a kind of mischievous delivery that puts the audience at ease instantly.
