Lord Friday the 13th

Lord Friday the 13th is a sibling duo based in Austin whose music plays on the border between punk and glam. Their songs are fast-paced and raw, with the kind of energy that is evocative of a certain era when punk idioms had not been fully established. Sloane Lenz sets the tone with her dirty, fuzzy guitars, as she is accompanied by a rotating roster of solid drummer and bass players that enhance the sense of highly structured mayhem that is intended to bounce around but not go completely loose. Felix has a bright and smooth voice that is very much at in line with the sound the band is going for.
