Lolina

Lolina is the current alias of London-based Russian-Estonian electronic/experimental/pop artist Alina Astrova, who is in constant motion within the larger electronic music frame. She initially took on a more pop-adjacent sound as Inga Copeland, then kept moving towards an increasingly experimental approach as Lolina. Her 2021 album Fast Fashion saw Astrova break out of conventional song structures to embrace an element of randomness and glitch as a part of her sonic palette. She also played with recorded sounds quite a bit during that period, creating a unique experience with her work. She has gradually returned to familiar song structures since then, and re-adopted steady beats, and loops, all of which are filtered through her distinct lens, obviously.
