Laney Jones

Laney Jones is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who combines indie folk with heartland flavored indie rock. She was more tightly aligned with traditional folk early on, often accompanied by her banjo or ukulele, putting out songs that were evocative of an old timey country feel. Her self-titled 2016 album, first to enjoy a broad release, found her leaning into a rock-oriented format, a tendency that grew stronger in subsequent releases. Her traveling band gradually became her full time band, which is how "Laney Jones and the Spirits" came to be in 2025, launching her deeper into the rock sound that often keeps to its rootsy essentials.
