Kehlani

Kehlani Parrish is a singer/songwriter who makes highly polished, stadium show ready pop and R&B music with finely tuned arrangements and not-a-hair-out-of-place presentation. She is comfortable in a crooning role, with songs that are often in the range of slow jamming ballads and relaxed, mid-tempo, contemporary R&B grooves, and sometimes shifting into the neo-soul territory. Her songs generally focus on her personal life as she seems to wear her emotional wounds and scars on her sleeve. All that wrapped inside powerful pop packaging that is meant to take over all the playlists out there. Except that she noticeably downshifted to quieter songs with smaller arrangements, and a much looser feel in her 2022 album blue water road.
