Destroy Boys

Destroy Boys is a Sacramento based punk trio that plays their high energy songs usually with melodic hooks up front and center.  They play fast and loud with plenty of passion, continuous guitar action, and a rhythm section that maintains its forward momentum. Their post-pandemic album, Open Mouth, Open Heart (2021) finds them moving noticeably in the pop punk direction, though to be fair, they did not have an all out aggressive sound before that either, so that was mostly a change in degrees. Their songs are catchier now, and they employ a broader stylistic range with different gears to shift to. They also opened up to the use of acoustic instruments on a few occasions where vocalist Alexia Roditis began to explore songs with Spanish lyrics as well.
