Daisy Rickman
Outline
Daisy Rickman is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays British folk that treads the line between traditional and modern. Being from the Cornwall area, she sings in English and Cornish, and with a deep voice in a way that goes well with her mesmerizing sound. She uses a wide range of instruments in her arrangements, including a sitar, cello, and bouzouki, among others, which adds a psychedelic accent to her otherwise pastoral tone. Her music is somber and contemplative, not to mention, fairly dark in tone. It feels like it comes from a very old place with some history attached to it. She is a talented artist all around, as she not only plays all the instruments in her albums, but also creates the cover art herself.
