Christone “Kingfish” Ingram is a young blues guitarist from Clarksdale, Mississippi, a city often considered a holy place by blues fans. Ingram's music presents a mixture of Mississippi Delta and Chicago blues. He is a highly skilled guitarist with clean and sharp tones, serious shredding prowess, and loads of intensity that amplifies when he really gets going. On the other hand, he also happens to have a sweet and lovely voice that atypically exudes more joy than pain. His also has a sense of humor that seeps into his lyrics. He has been repeatedly hailed as the future of blues, partly because of his age, but also because of his mastery of and dedication to the genre.
Corey Harris, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy
Ingram played with many blues and blues-oriented artists, including Tedeschi Trucks Band, Eric Gales, and Buddy Guy.
He grew up not too far away from *the* legendary crossroads. Just sayin'.
