Angel Abaya

Singer-songwriter Angel Abaya is an indie rock artist who plays guitar driven music with clear melodies, propulsive beats, and a stylistically distinct point of view that brings together a few distinct threads from different eras. She works off of a strong alt-rock base with somewhat rough edges that lies underneath the more polished production. There are some relaxed and chill tones of the mid-70s west coast rock that carries robust pop sensibilities. Adding to the mix is the dream pop elements that float in and out of her songs, as well as a subtle nod at psychedelic that makes an occasional appearance. Her sonic palette is quite bright, and her songs tend to have a bouncy, upbeat feel.
