anaiis

anaiis (all lower case) is a singer-songwriter with French and Senegalese background who grew up as a globetrotter, moving across continents until she settled in London where she launched her career with 2019's darkness at play. Her music is primarily anchored in a soul-tinged form of contemporary R&B with some jazz and pop accents.  There are some experimental elements to her music that do not often move to the front but they make their presence felt across the tracks. She sings in a smooth and expressive voice that radiates a lot of warmth and maintains an impressive range while doing that. Her songs can get slightly hypnotic at times with her effective use of atmospherics.
